I highly suggest that you get there early. I worked the sale last year and the line can be a monstrosity.

So anyone who I've talked to about this album knows my pre-release opinion of Ye's latest project was very ambiguous. I love Kanye's direction, idea and the blatant disregard of people's musical opinions. However, It always angers me when Kanye says stuff like (and im paraphrasing) "I can do whatever I want, people will buy it anyway". I think that's flagrant disrespect of your audience. I feel at times he takes us for granted, in a way we made Kanye the superstar he is today. Back to the album, from hearing all of the unmastered leaked tracks from his album, I felt like it was a great concept, but poorly executed. It just seemed like a false start. Of course i liked some of the songs even unmastered, however that is because Kanye is inherently talented. Kobe Bryant on 50% is better than 80% of the NBA. In a nutshell my main apprehension was that the album would be a rushed, undeveloped effort. With Kanye's recent happenings in his life, there is such a wealth of substance to be utilized that i hoped he didn't waste the chance to turn his misery into a masterpiece.

Fast Forward after my first listen, all my anxieties were put to rest. This album is very well developed, produced and executed. As far as emotion and substance goes this is by far Kanye's rawest album and ironical maybe his most musical (Well, behind Late Reg.) I don't LOVE every song on the album, not every song has that replay factor. HOWEVER I've always been able to hear quality and this album is not short on that. This album in short, is revolutionary. Expect to see alot of people biting this style. For every artist who claims to be different or on some new shit, really, how different are you. What risks are you willing to take. How high of a musical cliff are you willing to jump off? I even ask my self that question, If I had the opportunity, would I have made this album? Well of course now it's easy to say yes especially if the album does well, but honestly only a few of us have that much confidence in ourselves and our audience (don't be fooled by the ones who claim they do). The reality is hardly anyone has the leverage or the loyalty of their fan base like Kanye does. You have to make albums like College Dropout, Late Reg. and Graduation in order to get people to listen to something like this with open ears.

Ronald Jenkees?!?!
Ok so I'm at home doing some homework for my English report on music marketing in America and I come to a website who happens to be talking about this guy named Ronald Jenkees and how he's a great example of how to market yourself. Now as I'm looking at the first freeze frame image that every youtube video has (with the play button over it) I'm like "ok this guy looks like some 35 year old guy who's about to play is version of the Star Wars theme song". Then I play the video and hear this guy talk, and he sounds like he's from Tumbleweed, Alabama...........................Now when I say I wasn't ready for what I heard him play. I MEAN THAT SHIT! Listen
Like WTF!?!?! Now if you looked at all of those videos and told me that he couldn't easily be producing for the top names in the music industry right now you'd be lying through your face. This guys EPITOMIZES "don't judge a book by it's cover". He's easily better than 75% of the producers you know. AND for all the Kanye's of the world Ronald Jenkees shows that you don't have to be arrogant, cocky, and over confident all the damn time. He could have easily stopped in the middle of his beat looked dead in the camera and said "Fuck this, I'm shittin on yall niggas, get deez nuts" and I wouldn't have blinked because it seems thats what everyone else does lmao. He exemplifies humility. He thanks his fans in every video, says something encouraging and always stresses that music should be fun. I love Kanye I do, but I'm always going to side with the humble guy. Though this guy looks weird, has an awkward selection of hats, and bottle cap glasses your not even thinkin about that when he's doing his shit. So if you're sooooooo confident and talkin alot of shit you BETTER have the creativity to back it up because I've officially came to the conclusion that talent>swag.
You're Welcome

SNL
I saw this online and figured I had to do it...I almost owe it to the viewers. It's pretty funny, and Justin is soooooo randomly placed in this episode.

Just an ordinary shirt, right?
