Ok guys so the blog's been a little dry lately but we've been working on some great new material. We started a collab project with Illie which is an upcoming team consisting of 3 of the SICKEST MC's u will EVER hear...these guys are definitely part of the SomeWhere Else crew and are some of the most talented ppl ive worked with so far...so they came to the Barnyard ready to work...M80 (whos also a SICK producer) brought some tite beats that were gonna work with in the near future but i ended up making a beat out of nowhere with nothing but electric piano chords and solos...Illie felt it right off the bat and got to work and ended up writing their verses BEFORE i was done making the beat!!!! never experienced anything like that...assholes...but anyways enuff talking...heres the process of me making up the drums, strings, and choir (even tho u cant really see it but hey its not all about SomeWhere Else lol) while Illie writes their verses...enjoy!!



So then in comes Lazy Ro who was prolly asleep the whole time and he immediately wants to be on it so he writes a verse as well and u already know what that nigga brings ...he brings the fire to the s'mores making camp events u feel me? no?...anyways i made up different piano riffs for each verse to keep it interesting so here they are spittin wats written to show the format of this lyrical masterpiece...so here they are killin it in Think by Illie feat. SomeWhere Else (p.s. i kill it at the end so ignore them niggas and take a bite of my fire sandwich freestyle lmao)

Pro Tools really out did themselves. I didn't realize how much better it was going to be from the 7.4 version but they really stepped it up. If you didn't know we (SomeWhere Else) do all our own producing, and recording. Pro Tools was always just a recording program for us, and Logic became are main go to software, but now iono.

So i've been slaving in the Barnyard working on a bunch of beats to throw around and a bunch of jewels came up. I found the perfect samples to work with and since i wasn't down to go to "Geeks and Freaks" lmao i got my dood Ty and showed them to him. he loved all of them but i knew he'd love this one so i wanted to tape his reaction. we got a lot of work done before i went out so the night was definitely productive!



oh...and if u didn't get the ending, me and Premise are forming a new group called BellTower Monks...big news!! we'll keep you posted!!

It was only less than three weeks ago on December 1st when our blogs viewcount read only 1200. Now only a little over half into the month of December our views have quadrupled now passing the 5000 mark. This may not seem like a lot to the "veteran bloggers" but it is to us. We appreciate all of you who have been interested and supportive of our music, art, opinions and our journey. Alright guys for those of u who dont know Tyree hes been like our mentor since high school and had a good part in keeping us on the rite path. He got us into Christian club in high skool since he was the founder and speaker, and we immediately saw that he was deep and used extremely sick metaphors...hes been on the same page as us for a while and eventually he wanted to try his hand at rapping....now this guy is a poet so his flow is very unorthadox and he made a couple of impressive tracks throughout the years and they just stacked up...i feel like it must not have been the rite time to expose him because he went off to Bakersfield and started writing and practicing like CRAZY...i feel like he went off to train like Batman because now he can freestyle better then all of us on the drop of a dime...but here he is now going by the name Premise spittin over Kanye's "Say You Will"...enjoy!

Ok guys so not too long ago i mapped out this huge, complex idea for a song on a SomeWhere Else beat that i thought was pretty cool (all credit to Mr. Lonnie Ro as well as Chris on the drums) No one really liked the beat at first, but when i heard it i definitely saw something in my head, and i wanted to make it as crazy and deep as i could. The eerie beat along with the dark sample repeating "Sit Down" made me think of a concept deeper than just about any song ive ever done so i went for it. The idea was so large and complex that i couldn't grasp the full idea in just one verse, so i pitched the idea to Lonnie and he loved it so here it is...the beginning stages of the new song by SomeWhere Else called "Blue Jars and Staring Stars"...enjoy!!

I guess this is kontributing to kanye's "pop art"stage in life. I don't know if it's just me, but I feel like Kanye thinks he's Andy Warhol...no harm in admiring an artist (thought Warhol never klaimed himself to be one), but it's just a little...well indescribable i guess. It's not that I don't like what's he's doing, im just a little konfused as to why he felt he has to stress the fakt that he's doing it...just me though. So i'm recording myself playing new piano riffs for possible song ideas for Tyree when something very interesting happens...This wasn't my best take but i had to upload this one bcuz the beginning is so funny (so excuse the mess ups) the upload messed up the sound too so just shutup and appreciate the humor sheesh....

So since the Dublin trip is over, and as we go back to are regular lives the old layout is put back up, but things will change. Post will be more dedicated to SomeWhere Else and music more then just random stuff. Stay tuned !!

Well there u have it folks...yall sent Somewhere Else to Dublin, they killed it, brought back the gold, and had a great time doing it. I think i can speak for everyone wen i say that this was one of the best experiences that ive ever had in my enitire life....ANNNDDD i didnt get pranked!!! (badly) haha well this is getting to be too much so thank u to every1 who helped us get here, every1 who inspired us and sent us good wishes, and every1 who just checked the blog to see wat were were doin out there!!
