Now with the musical path I've been going on lately it's pretty rare to catch me listening to alot of Rap (ironically) and even more rare for it to be something new. Well here's my latest exception. Brandun DeShay. I'm not going to sit and hype him up because his music speaks alot more appropriately than I do. I'll just say that I guarantee downloading his mixtape will be a better use of ur time than whatever else you were going to do in the next 10 mins lol. Fortunately for us, I know him personally and he's a real cool dude, wouldn't hesitate to call him one of my friends. Put it on your momma that there will be some collabs between SomeWhere Else and Brandun DeShay in the near future.

Our Single "Make It" !! will be out at the end of this week. It will be available for downloading !!
We will be putting out a CD so soon. We're just trying to make everything perfect, and put out the best quality of sound possible.

It feels good to know that people are actually looking forward to the CD

The point of this blog post, is that team work is the key to any successful business. No business is run by 1 person. If you follow the "SomeWhere Else" blog u know we are more visual. Less words and more pics is what I go for, but every once in a while you gotta give the people more.
7 dudes in a band !! Whatttt ?? I know I mean it's a gift and a curse. 7 minds is better than 1, 2, or 3 we all bring something special to the table, we each play a specific role. Howeverrr It can get hard dealing with 7 minds. We all have our own idea of what we want each song to sound like. People ask who makes the songs you guys do ???? We all produce our stuff. Some songs we do, I created (CMB), some Jafet created, some Elvis & Jono started. EVERYTHING YOU HEAR FROM US WE DID. There is no one person looking over our project helping us. Recording to Arrangement to Producing it's us. Keep in mind I'm not bragging or boasting, this is something people ask me so I'm just making everything clear. I feel like what can brake a band is a lack of communication. Studio time, shows, rehearsal, special events. Our team is so big so it can get hectic sometimes, but I know more than anything that SomeWhere Else is bound for greatness.

This weekend was probably the most productive weekends we've had in a while

OUR Definition of "Lock-Down" - Where we lock our self in the studio all day. We don't come out until late at night, and we work on as much stuff as possible.

We mixed down "Make It" so look out for that at the end of the week



We worked on "Make It Pt 2 " and some other stuff



We worked on a song with OverDoz. and had one of those long talks about the music industry, and artist.

Now I don't mean to be anal or annoying but sometimes this effin bugs me. Alot of you just might not have known or even noticed but SomeWhere Else has a UpperCase "W" in it. Some of you are probably like "Wow wtf? This guy" but really..why not just spell it right? I mean i'm sure Mc"D"onalds don't let that shit slide lol. And if u have one of those names like LeShay, McCoy, or DeMarius you want your shit spelled right. Damn, now I know how Weezy F Baby feels lol. and If you don't know, now you know!

Not many people can say that the rest of there band can produce music. I feel blessed to have a team that's super talented in that can hold there own. As we setup for another rehearsal, Jafet starts to not only play something pleasing to the ear, but potentially another SoneWhere Else song.

Soo I came across this on my homie Chasens facebook page

He goes to school in San Fransisco, he had to do an assignment for his photo shop class called image manipulation. This is so creative and tight he took all the pics from the Dublin trip
and all the pics from our time working in the studio and put them together.
I can see us actually using a lot of this for when we actually put out our CD.












My bro Chasens working on some big things, can't wait to work with him on some stuff in the future.
